A good giving approach for individuals and families.
We start with a conversation to work out what working together might look like. Everything is shaped around what you actually need to move from where you are, towards making clear, confident and meaningful giving decisions.
We approached The Giving Concierge with some ideas for our charitable foundation. As a result of Helen's diligence and expertise we were able to initiate a project that exactly met our requirements.”
— Martin, Trustee of a Family Foundation
We don't expect you to know exactly what you need upfront.
We begin by getting clear on where you are, and where you might be stuck. This first conversation is free and carries no obligation. It's a chance for us to see whether working together makes sense, and which of the five areas of good giving you need help with.
01. Intention
These initial sessions give you the space to get genuinely clear, on what matters most, what you want your giving to do, and what, if anything, you want to do next.
For some, this time for reflection creates enough clarity to move forward independently. Others pause here and return when the time feels right. Some continue straight into a flow of work that moves them from intention to strategy.
02. Strategy
We help you decide where to focus. That may include research into the things you care about, strategic advice, facilitation for families, and a clear look at where your capital goes, your role and what meaningful impact looks like.
The outcome is a personal or family giving plan that you can make decisions against, with confidence.
03. Structure
Many people naturally start here when they think about philanthropy. We can help you choose the right vehicle or mix of vehicles to deliver your plan, from direct giving and donor advised funds to trusts, foundations and impact investing.
We also work with your existing giving structures and where you need tax, legal or financial expertise, we work alongside your advisors.
05. Meaning
Where you want to understand the difference your giving makes, we bring in the right tools, systems and specialists, and coordinate who does what for you.
All our clients are also welcome at Good Giving Grows, our free events. We create informal spaces for learning, reflection and conversation, bringing together clients, their families and fellow philanthropists with inspiring people, ideas and experiences.
04. Action
When you’re ready to move capital, make gifts or grants we help you find, check and partner with the organisations that can deliver.
We won’t leave you to figure out the next steps alone, unless you’re ready to take it from here. We stay with you for as long as it’s useful.
Working with us is straightforward and unhurried. We take time understand your situation and what you're trying to achieve before anything else.
Clients often tell us that the process itself feels as valuable as the outcome: a space to think clearly, ask the right questions, and arrive at decisions you feel sure about.
“This is a fantastic piece of work and a reflection of just how well you listen and how good you are at asking the right questions to highlight and fill the gaps in my own thinking!
You’ve managed to make sense of a disorganised idea that captured my interest but scared me a little, to a project that I feel sure has potential to change many lives and that I can’t wait to jump headfirst into! I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you.”
— Donor Advised Fund-holder
“ You were outstanding at clarifying my needs, clearly articulating them and effectively and efficiently managing follow up actions, all whilst sharing the benefit of your knowledge and insight.”
— Zoe, Philanthropist
“ The flexibility to explore the professional and the more personal stuff has been one of the best parts of this process. You were challenging! but in a disarming way. ”
— Jez, Private Client
“ I have worked with Helen over a number of years. Her insights into charitable giving have been invaluable to me. Helen doesn’t use jargon, she just says it as it is. Very refreshing. Even when we don’t have a project on between us, I know that she keeps my philanthropic mission in her mind. I will continue to use Helen’s expertise when I need it.”
